Thanks for the memories, I still use aprons and we make a bunch yearly for our church craft sale, they do sell. Thanks again, did bring back a couple of memories.

I had two very different grandmothers.
I remember my one grandmother wearing her apron. Hers was the full kind that covered the chest as well. I don't remember her ever without hers on. She was Italian and therefore ALWAYS COOKING AND FEEDING! Another thing that I remember is that she always had shoes on and always wore a dress.

My other grandmother was always in the kitchen in flip flops, tank top and shorts. I believe the difference is one was from NY and the other from CA! The age was just about the same.

I think I'm going to start to wear an apron (even though I'm not a grandma!)

I don't remember my Mom or Grandma wearing an apron. I like to wear aprons. The latest one I made was from a feed sack.

I remember my grandmothers in aprons. Both were country people, and wore the type that covered the entire dress. I have one of the aprons Dad's mom wore. It doesn't fit - those vitamins we got as kids made me sprout up and I'm so much bigger than my grandma was! I loved to go visit grandparents: one grandma was always in the kitchen, usually with something special she had made for us kids; the other was ready to join us in hunting eggs - or some other 'chore' that us city kids adored!
