here in NC our garden is in full production---lots of tomatoes, basil and hot peppers guess what I have been making? Lots of pesto, marinara sauce, and lots of fresh salsa. Trying to use up and freeze as much as possible, the neighbors are benefiting from the garden too.

We will have our first zucchini by the end of the week. By next week... there will be more than I can eat!

And today's lunch is... my first beet. Yum!

just read an article while waiting in the dr. office- $70 worth of plants and seeds provides 4600 worth of food. Not to mention how healthy it is!

We use all natural fertilizer- AgGrand. I have tons of green tomatos. Can't wait for salsa! Do you have a recipe you prefer? Care to share?

what I do is really more like pico de gallo I use tomatoes ( as much as you want), red onion ( about 1/4 of the onion), jalapenos ( one large one or more if you like it really hot) lime juice to taste, salt and then cilantro mix up and enjoy I really do not have amounts I am one of those cooks who does it by eyeball and taste.
