I owned a '57 Chevy. It was 6 yrs old when I got it. I sold it for $350 in about 1967 or 8. The guy who bought it used it for driving around his fields to change the irrigation pipes. I bought it back in 1973 for $60. My husband fixed the transmission, redid the whole inside and painted it. Sold it for $50. Wish I had it back. It was pinkish grey with a white top.

I also remember all of these. Times were simpler then. You could walk to school and not be afraid of being kidnapped. You got a spanking if you did wrong and your parents weren't carted off to jail. Those were the days. Don't forget prized in the cracker jack boxes. Thanks for the memories

TO... TNUTNO..and CJOMOMMA

Well, I did grow up during that time. Yes ,the memories are something else .

Only difference for me is that I ALMOST did get kidnapped . I can remember it like it was 2 seconds ago .

I had to walk 2 1/2 blocks to school . Half way down the last 1/2 a block my would be kidnapper stopped his car next to me...btw...I was in the 4th grade....as he was pulling me thru the window of his car the crossing guard heard me screaming and came running , blowing her whistle. Well I got pushed out onto the ground and he took off.

I was left with a bruised bum , a very frightened mind and a wonderful story to tell grandchildren . Now, all I need is the grandchildren . lol

Believe me ....I gave You the short version
