Well, I can't take it!!! Makes me sick to my stomach...no matter which one I take or how much. SO, my doc said to go out without sunscreen for at least 10 minutes a day....that worked!!!

If you have a possible sarcoidosis diagnosis, do not take vitamin D without first discussing it with your fave specialist.

I found during the winter with lack of sunshine, if I took Vit. D and taking Calicum W/ D I didn't have the low energy I had without it. I did decide to stop taking the extra and not getting much sun I feel sluggish, maybe I need to start taking it again.

Glad you are all finding benefits from Vit. D. If you have any health conditions/take medication of any description, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before taking vitamin supplements, or herbal remedies.

I have been taking vitamin D too. Once a week I also take a megadose prescribed by my doctor. It plays major in your energy levels. I feel great!

This summer has been so beastly hot that I've been inside more than usual.
So thanks for the reminder :D

I have been taking 50,000 units every fifth day and 2000 units on all the other days. I go off for a while and felt the difference. Regular bloodwork shows that I keep my level at an acceptable level.

From what I have read Doctor's are prescribing vitamin D a lot to people nowadays. A recent report in Canada stated that the cost of testing for vitamin D levels has increased significantly to the point where they don't want to do anymore testing. However, my doctor also prescribed vitamin D for me as he said my body isn't absorbing it from the sun....
