Welcome to the Quilting Board!
I'm in Keller, northeast of Fort Worth
Hello, I live in San Antonio. I would love the opportunity to get together with other quilters from Texas. A friend of mine is the innkeeper of a bed and breakfast in Comfort, Texas. She has asked me about a quilting retreat. But, I don't know if there would be any interest or how to put one together. However, just the opportunity to meet somewhere and meet everyone would be great!

Poor little ol' lonely me...stuck out here in Midland all by myself! Hope ya'll all have a really good time at the Dallas show..I'll get there someday! I did get to travel to Lubbock over the weekend to fabric shop...Picked up about 30 pounds of cotton prints and tons of quilting magazines at an estate sale, all for only $10.00!!! Boy, do I need to get busy!

Where are retreats here in TX? I'm new to quilting and haven't been able to find any retreats. I have gone to scrapbooking retreats and have alot of fun.

I'm in Anna, north Collin Co. The Van Alstyne Quilter's Guild (just north of me) meets on the 1st Monday each month - refreshments start at 6:30pm & the meeting starts at 7pm. We usually wrap up by 9pm.
I was born in Texas but grew up in So Cal.
Have any of you shopped at Stitchin Heaven in Quitman? I have ordered several times online from them and the pics of the store make it look like quilter's heaven.
The Alford Inn Quilt shop in Van Alstyne has retreats. Check their website at www.alfordinn.comOriginally Posted by Debo
The Van Alstyne Quilter's Guild has one each fall in Collinsville.
cool, I will be in Anson this weekend.
I lived in Coquille, Oregon most of my life
There is one in Tomball, but I'm not sure how you would find info. There are several on Lake Texoma, but I think those are quilt guilds.Originally Posted by Debo
There is a quilt shop in Van Alstyne, Alford Inn, that could be used as a retreat place. And I was told there is one in Pilot Point or Collinsville and one in Gainesville.
