Lucky you. Live here in Lubbock and I am never that lucky to find a deal like that.

I'm in Anna, north Collin Co. The Van Alstyne Quilter's Guild (just north of me) meets on the 1st Monday each month - refreshments start at 6:30pm & the meeting starts at 7pm. We usually wrap up by 9pm.

I was born in Texas but grew up in So Cal.

Have any of you shopped at Stitchin Heaven in Quitman? I have ordered several times online from them and the pics of the store make it look like quilter's heaven.

The Alford Inn Quilt shop in Van Alstyne has retreats. Check their website at www.alfordinn.com

The Van Alstyne Quilter's Guild has one each fall in Collinsville.

There is one in Tomball, but I'm not sure how you would find info. There are several on Lake Texoma, but I think those are quilt guilds.

There is a quilt shop in Van Alstyne, Alford Inn, that could be used as a retreat place. And I was told there is one in Pilot Point or Collinsville and one in Gainesville.
