I have to throw my hat into this ring as well. When looking at new machines, my husband was super quick with questions I never thought to ask. Taking me every place available before making a purchase.

He looks just as hard as I do when looking for fabrics. When looking for "the fabric" he will say "Yep it's here somewhere." or "No, this ain't da place." and usually would be right.

If I'm stuck in a pattern, he helps me figure out what needs to be done.

My husband is an avid fisherman. He told me that helping me with shopping has really helped him. He is always on the lookout for the perfect lure, line, pole, or reel. He said, "I've learned that just because you don't see it doesn't mean it ain't there." One time he was looking for a particular reel. The clerk said they were out of them. I said, "hmmmmmmmmmm, I can feel it. I know there is one here SOMEWHERE." After searching every nook and cranny in Bass Pro, my husband was ready to go. We were at the check out counters. I constantly look around at the counter ends while he is checking out. I couldn't believe it. I was about 4 check outs away and behind the clerk I FOUND the reel. I quickly asked the clerk if something was wrong with it and she said, "No, the customer just didn't want it." I said, "How fast can you run my credit card!" I met hubby at the exit door and he said, "Oh did you get yourself something?" When we got out to the car, my hubby still pretty disheartened, I said, "I got this to say Thank You for all your help getting my new machine." and I gave him the bag. He was expecting it to be some kind of gag gift. When he saw the reel he said, "Just cuz ya don't see don't mean it ain't there."

Oh, that is so sweet! My dear husband is the same way -- he doesn't usually come in the fabric store with me, but he always says, take as much time as you want, I'll just read my book.

Most times when he is away on business, he'll find a quilt store and bring me back a little something. His latest venture was into Amish country, but it was Sunday. He said, I tried going to the quilt stores but found, they aren't open on Sunday.

I love him!

I have to add my spousal unit to the group! He's been known to drive 3 hours to indulge me in my vintage machine searches, will wander the quilt stores with me, will figure out a way to get something for me that he knows I want but we really can't afford...
He will spend hours trying to figure out why a machine won't sew, and puts in the muscle when I need to to move things around so that machine I didn't really need, but wanted will fit in somewhere in the house.
There ARE good men out there...it took me 41 years to find this one, and I couldn't be happier...he's a WONDERFUL man! :)

That's great! He is a sweetheart.
I'm in Camp Me instead of Camp We. LOL. I don't want my DH being involved with my quilting.

He sounds like my hubby. I can't even begin to count the hours he has spent sitting in the car waiting for me to find the perfect fabric. I sew in my kitchen and he hardly complains about not being able to find the table. He didn't used to be this patient but through the years he has mellowed a lot.

I am SOOOO jealous! Does he have a brother?? My DH offers very little support. He has just informed me that once I am able to make the extra bedroom my sewing room (with no help from him, BTW) that the cat box will be moving in there with me and my fabric.....

What a sweetie! Stories like this just warm my heart. It is so nice to know there are really "loving and caring" husbands out there. Have to say mine is pretty good most of the time. However, he doesn't do fabric shops well. He did go with me once and he picked out the fabric for a baby blanket and diaper bag I was going to make. He did good too!
