Default Thanksgiving blessings

This time of year is about being thankful.
I have had and have many blessings and good things in my life.
I have been blessed with a kind family, wonderful parents and sisters and brother.
I lost my dad many years ago, but he is still around, I talk to him alot at times.
I have been blessed with a wonderful spouse, and 2 beautiful girls whom I am proud of and love more each day.
I have been blessed with a grandson whom I see and hug and laugh with every day.
I have been blessed to have my own home
I have been blessed with pets
I have been blessed to own the most awesome horse in the world, and now she has passed on, but her spirit still roams around from time to time to visit with me
I have been blessed with many friends in my life
I have been blessed to have enjoyed most of the jobs I have had
I have been blessed with a life a lot of people would probably like to have.
It has taken a long time to realized just how much I have been blessed in so many ways.
Age and time gives you a chance to appreciated what you have had, do have and will have in the future.
I am really glad to appreciate it all now, instead of further in the future.

I wish as many blessings to all on this board and hope you all come to understand and appreciate all the wonderful amazing things you have as well

You said it all. And you said it so wonderfully, why wouldn't we all be grateful for the many, many blessings of being born in this country. We fuss and growl, but there is no better place in this world than the USA. We need to remember all of what you have said.

Stablemom I have a lot of the same blessings, God has given me my horses, donkeys, cats and my beautiful dogs to care for and I am thankful for everyone of them. I also had a wonderful family, a fairy-tale mom and dad who devoted their lives to me and my two sisters. Mom and dad are gone but their memory and spirits will always be with me. My sisters and I have grown even closer as the years are passing and for that I am most thankful. I have three beautiful sons, none who live close but I am thankful that they are all healthy, working and happy and that I had the insight to raise them to respect women as their equals not as subservient. And with all his grumpiness, I am thankful that God gave me my husband - second husband, and that he was given a new life with his new heart. It was that blessing that really made me realize what blessings truly are and that my life is in God's hands. Bless all on this board and I am thankful for all the knowledge and love you share with everyone here.

Amen to that stablemom. It was our thanksgiving this past week end here in Canada & a good time to think of ALL the blessings that we have. It is so easy to get bogged down in the every day problems that life brings us & so easy to forget about all the good things in our lives. Time for a reality check & take a deep breath & enjoy life. For you folks in the U.S. your turn is coming in November to be thankful during your thanksgiving. Sometimes it seems that more importance is placed on things like "Black Friday" than the true meaning of our special holidays.

It is refreshing to think of your blessings instead of your woes. Thanks for reminding us!

I am very thankful that as my world shrank from disabilities, God has filled my little world with the kind of people I would invent if I could. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that having a cerebral vascular accident would be the thing that made my world great, nor did I ever dream God would lead me here to this board where I could make great friends on the other side of the planet. God bless all of you with as much happiness as he has given me. You all deserve it too, and I will pray you get it!
