Joe Cocker ~
You are so beautiful to me
Can't you see?
You're everything I hoped for
You're everything I need...
You are so beautiful to me.

It was playing a lot when my son was born. Whenever I hear it, it brings tears to my eyes. Also...

The lyrics to What a Wonderful World by the great Louis Armstrong.
And I think to myself...... what a wonderful world!

This is one of those forgotten Elton Tunes but is one of my favorites .

Music by Elton John
Lyrics by Bernie Taupin
From the soundtrack Friends

I hope the day will be a lighter highway
For friends are found on every road
Can you ever think of any better way
For the lost and weary travellers to go

Making friends for the world to see
Let the people know you got what you need
With a friend at hand you will see the light
If your friends are there then everything's all right

It seems to me a crime that we should age
These fragile times should never slip us by
A time you never can or shall erase
As friends together watch their childhood fly

Making friends for the world to see
Let the people know you got what you need
With a friend at hand you will see the light
If your friends are there then everything's all right

One of my all time favorites:

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world...

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one
Scowlkat, this has to be one of the best songs every written. The theme is a lot like my favorites :)
John Lennon was such a visionary. I still miss him :(

"Signs, Signs, Everywhere's a Sign
Blocking the scenery and breaking my mind.
Do this, don't do that. Can't you read the sign?"

kept going through my head today. I've been on the road way too much--LOL.
