Default Thoughts about ionic hair dryers?

Difficult to find just a regular hair dryer. Received ceramic ionic hair dryer as a Christmas gift. After reading reviews I am concerned about using it?? Any one have one? Thoughts?

What are your concerns?

Why the concern? I don't know that mine is ceramic but it is ionic. Hubs bought one for me several years ago. We have very hard water. My initial response when I used it the first time was 'you gave me new hair'! At the time felt it made my hair feel softer. In the years since, i use it very infrequently now and my hair is now predominantly grey and a different texture. Not sure if I was still coloring my hair at that point either.

I'm curious, too, as to what your concerns are .... as I just got one.

So far, I have been quite pleased with it and like NJQuilter, I am thinking my hair has a nicer feel to it overall. Being that I have only used it a few times, I'm not believing that it really has made a difference though. Only time will tell.

Perhaps someone with more knowledge on this will jump in here and enlighten us!

I have noticed thru the years of different names being added on to products. Just had to buy a new microwave and it said it was "Inverter" what ever that means.

I've used Chi hairdryers for years now. The ones I've had have been ionic and ceramic (as far as I can remember) and I love them. I'm interested, too, in what your concerns are.

NJ Quilter, I'm curious where in Central NJ you're located. I'm in Secaucus, NJ, not far from Giant Stadium.
I belong to a very small Quilt Guild and if you're anywhere near, I invite you to join us.

Thanks so much for your kind offer but I am a but far away. I am between Trenton and Princeton, very close to the PA border. Only time I get to that neck of the woods is for Macy's parade training.
