It's been a beautiful day - the sun is brightly shining, but it is thundering something awful!

Don't know if a storm is on it's way, but if so, it will probably not be good - better go make dinner before the electric goes out!

It has been cloudy most of the day here in New York and the wind says rain. It is now 5:45PM and still has not begun. The weather forecast calls for it later this evening. Hope you were successful in getting dinner before the storm.

Hello, be safe during the storm and hope you got your supper fixed in time before the power goes off

Just had my dinner as I can hear the rumbles in the distance. We are to get some heavy rain & lightning tonight here in southeast PA.

I grew up in the midwest and really miss some of that weather. My family thinks I'm nuts if there is a lighting storm when I visit Nebraska and I'm at the window watching it.

Don't get me wrong, being without electricity and the damage the storms have caused this year has been awful. Hopefully dinner will be done and the storm will pass by you quickly.

Well, the sun was still shining by the time I finished dinner, then it began to get cloudy and kinda dark and I figured we were really in for it, but still no rain. Then the thunder stopped. Wierd! It did rain much later in the evening, but it was a light rain with NO thunder or lightening! It must have moved further south to Holland, PA where donnajean is!

I like to watch lightening, too, and although we have had some pretty bad storms with lots of damage, I don't think it's as bad as what the midwest gets with all the flat lands. Pittsburgh has lots of hills and we are at the foot of the Allegheny Mountains and that all tends to break up the storms quite a bit. For the most part, we are pretty lucky. But snow? The hills and mountains don't help us with that at all!

Thanks for the good wishes, Craftybear, but luckily the storm never materialized!

You poor thing! I hate the heat so much - I just can't imagine. Our temps the last several days have been in the 70's and it's been heavenly. Come on up - we'd love to have you!
