Default Asheville, NC quilt shops

I will be going to Asheville, NC in a couple of weeks. I was wondering if there are any good quilts shops to see. Can anyone give suggestions on a local motel (moderate price).

The nicest local quilt shop is Asheville Cotton Co. located on Hendersonville Road (south of downtown). Located further south on Hendersonville Rd. in Fletcher, NC, is Foam and Fabrics. They have a nice selection of Fabrics at slightly lower prices than Asheville Cotton Co. There is another Foam and Fabrics on Biltmore Avenue (much smaller than the one in Fletcher and no connection between the two). In addition, there are two others: Hancocks in River Ridge Shopping Center and Joan's Fabrics opposite the Asheville Mall on South Tunnel Road. Hope this helps.
I can't provide any help on motels since I am local and have never stayed in one locally!!

I've stayed at the Country Inn and Suites on Brevard Rd - it was not fancy but it was fine.

You won't be too far from Mary Jo's. When I visit my sister in Asheville its always on the list of top places to go.

Mary Jo's is a huge shop in Gastonia, NC, about a 2-hour drive from Asheville. It is well worth a visit, but have a plan in mind. Otherwise, you will be overwhelmed with the many fabrics.
