It wasn't like this for me. My hubby and I shared all the housework duties and he actually did a little more than me some days, especially in September and October when I was exhausted from teaching Kindergarten. BUT since my retirement, I can't bring myself to ask for help. He pitches in sometimes but not like before. I suppose that is only fair. Doesn't make me like it any better though!

BUT I am counting the months until he retires! 24!!!!

I told my husband that I didn't want any bought gift for mothers day. He got nervous. I told him I just wanted to trade places with him for the weekend. Keep in mind that I work full time as a speech pathologist, have 2 kids and do all the work. So my husband says, "in other words, you want me to work my butt off while you hold the sofa down?". Yup. Well he took Friday off from work to get a head start and quit mid Saturday only having gotten 1/3 of what I normally do done. So funny!!
