Have you ever posted to a thread and felt like your comment was skipped over or ignored? I have and sometimes it makes me wonder "Why did I bother to say anything"? I know no one has the intention to disregard another persons comment and we can't comment on everybody's posting, but it does make you feel a little slighted. Posting is really conversing with others and I want to make a conscious effort to do better about this, as I know myself that I have been guilty of the very thing that bothers me.

OK -I'll post so you know that I read your thoughts. Sometimes people don't think alike and don't understand what one is trying to sasy.

yes we should all post. I have to agree with you on that. I have found new freinds with all of you and I look forward to seeing your comments all of the time! Its a little lonely out here in this country especially in the winter. But, with being on this sight I have made it through the lonely days with all of you!!!
Hugs!

I usually reply to a lot of the postings, but replying to all would mean that I never get any sewing done. I am always interested to read about others and their latest WIP!

I'm not trying to point fingers here, please don't misunderstand my intentions. I am only inviting thoughts about where this should go. If it offends anyone, that is not my purpose. However there are people out there who may sorta feel the same way about being overlooked and possibly we should consider them. I'm in no way being whiny about being overlooked.

You girls do a great job of posting on threads, and when the thread gets very long it's not always possible to read it entirely. Maybe one solution would be to get thicker skin. LOL!

I'm sorry you feel that way. I'm sure it's not anyone's intention.
I'm here....
Another thing you might want to try if you can...go to chat. There's usually someone in there to talk to. Chat isn't always about quilting. We talk about everything and I DO MEAN EVERYTHING!!!

Your comment may not have been ignored it may have just been missed. There is so much information and so many postings on the board it's easy for something to get lost.

I TRY to get on every day and catch up on all the new threads. But with the recent surge of new members there are so many new topics and so many people posting, I have noticed that new threads can be found on page 2 and even page 3 of a category these days. A great thread can get buried quickly and someone could easily feel slighted. I think the sheer volume of topics is making it harder to comment on every one.

I do not think that anyone is intentionally ignoring anyone. I have opened a thread, read a question someone posted, noticed that the first two or three people who responded answered the question thoroughly, and so I move on to the next thread. I am not ignoring that thread or the author---I just have nothing to add. I would hope that the person who started the thread was happy with their answer and not feeling slighted.
