We usually had spiral sliced ham also. We now have an addition in our family that can't have pork products so we are having mixed green salad, lasagna and Skor Blondies for dessert. I just tried the Skor Blondies ths week and they are delicious. The recipe is on the package of Skor baking bits right now but I left out the Choc. Chips.

I don't have the same foods for holidays. Usually a turkey for Thanksgiving when the kids were at home but never started a traditional meal menu. This Easter DH will probably grill salmon and shrimp for dinner. I have a dozen hand painted eggs that I always have on my table for Easter. That is our only Easter tradition.

We are going to my sons for Easter dinner and are having tenderloin steak on the grill, I have to bring my cheesy potatoes and dessert which will be an angel food cake with crushed pineapple/pudding in layers of the cake.

I changed my menu a bit this year, Au Gratin potatoes, spiral ham, baked beans, coleslaw, corn, Eclair cake and Peanutbutter pie.....we are having dinner Sat afternoon, my son always volunteers to work double shifts on holidays so guys who have little ones can have the day off.....I always have to plan our holidays around his schedule. We have even had to hold Christmas a day or two after 12/25 !!!

It's fresh corn cooked/fried in a skillet. I don't know why it's called fried, my mother always used a regular pot. There's a ton of variations out there. Excuse me...I think I'm drooling.

My kids will be leaving for home Easter morning..so for dinner time I will be having peace and quiet! We will be having the baskets, egg hunt, ect. Early so the little ones will be all wound up on sugar then I can just pile them in the car and send them home to deal with it!

Ham, fruit salad, asparagus, herbed rolls, usually potato salad and/or baked beans. Always a cake shaped like a bunny or a bundt cake with a chocolate bunny tucked into a nest of green coconut in and center and cut-out decorated cookies. Back in the old days when we met at my grandparents, the Easter egg hunt always involved dozens of kids in a pasture with the cows removed and hundreds of real eggs. The food was copious, including not only ham, but also turkey and chicken and dressing and my mom and all the aunts brought the most scrumptious pies and other desserts.

Oh, I forgot the bunny salad. Half a canned pear on a bed of lettuce, scoop of cottage cheese for the tail, another pair half slice in 2 for ears, raisin eyes, cherry nose.

Basicly it's ambrosia. fruit & marshmellow Peeps, no coconut, bleah!

The only bad part is the eyes of the Peeps staring back from their multilated marshmello bodies

Hmm, wonder what fast food places will be open on Sunday??? LOL One son's family is going out of town to in-laws and the other son will probably be working! I don't have a DH or "significant other" to cook for so I'll probably stay in jammies all day and watch movies...and eat jelly beans and maybe a Cadbury egg!!
