Trip Insurance question
Does anyone have any experience with the travel insurance associated with the Citi Bank card or the Chase Bank card? We have purchased commercial trip insurance in the past, but have read that the cards have some level of insurance -- I assume it's for the things you bought on the card like airfare or hotels.
I have tried calling for info, but get no useful information.
I'd like to know how responsive they are to claims and if they are fair in paying the claims. Anyone???

No,have not tried to use any travel insurance on credit cards. I would not think it would have the comprehensive coverage as trip insurance but have not looked into it. Let us know if you get some good info! I buy coverage through Travel Insured International--filed one claim and was an easy process to collect benefits.

I was a travel agent and truly believe that anyone traveling internationally, or going on a cruise, should buy trip insurance from an independent travel insurance company if they want the best, most comprehensive coverage. Don't rely on coverage from your credit card or buy insurance offered from the cruise line, airline, or travel company being used. Credit companies do offer some basic protection from fraud, or if you lose your credit card while on your trip.
