HI, I have been trying to post pictures from swap pkg's I have received and items I have made. When I get on to Flicker, I get viruses on my computer. I do have an anti-virus program that thankfully takes care of it but 'Alert, Alert' is not something I want to see. So many of you post pics. Have you ever had this problem and/or do you have other suggestions? I hate to pay an IT guy to come set anything up. Thank you.

I use webshots and have for years. I do pay $14.99/yr. AND have over 15,000 photos stored.

It's a very rare occassion that a problem comes up. I use it to post all my photos to my blog.

LOVE it.

I use shutterfly and picasa for mine. Also, some of those virus messages are just so you will click on them and buy more anti virus software so be careful. I like the idea of webshots, thanks for the suggestion!!

You don't need one of these systems to post photos here. They just need to be on your computer. When you hit 'choose file' below the typing box you just need to know the name of your picture. If you are not hitting the 'reply' button below any of the beginning post you won't get the 'file attachments:' options. If you use the 'quick reply' box they aren't there.

The problem with 'on your computer' is computer crash. It's happens, you can depend on it .... it's not "if" it happens ... it's "when" it happens .... AND most people post in more than one forum .... I sure do. My photos will always be available at webshots.

Hi. Sorry to hear about your problems with flickr. I use flickr and have not experienced the same issues. It's possible you have a virus/trojan on your computer or that you're on a thread contaminated with a fake alert so you click it to download, sisLH. Are other members of your group complaining of this?

I wanted to be able to post pictures and saw that lots were being done by Flicker so I signed up. I have Norton anti-virus installed. Each time that I actually was in Flicker, my computer said 'Attack Notice -Beware, Trojans have just tried to be placed onto your system'. So I was afraid to go further and will try an alternate as has been suggested thru here.

Blogs are an easy way to keep track of your photos. I prefer that to the various groups. They're easy to set up and then if you decide to write descriptions, you can do whatever you want. =) Just a suggestion.
