What a neat way for her to get fabric since it is so much more in France. The clerk should have been patient and realized this is good business for our store!

Ohhhh how I wish she was!!! but no, she already has plans for them. She wants to make a quilt for her mother's 70th birthday in januari and I offered her to help. But she's living in Holland and I'm in France.....we do a lot by mail and skype.

That is AWESOME! I wonder if she just sat on the bed in the hotel room surrounded by her fabric?!

She should have told the unhappy sales woman,
"I came all the way from France to shop at your store!"

Good for her! And the lady behind the counter should consider it job security. It doesn't matter if she cuts 100 yards for 1 customer or 1 yard for 100 customers. The money is the same.

I am so happy for her! We take if for granted sometimes that we have so much fabric available at somewhat low prices. Thanks for sharing. I hope she has months and months of fun with the fabric.
