Question Vacuum help needed

Shark or Dyson? I'm in need of a new vacuum and I've heard both are great. I have a 30% off coupon at Kohls, so I'm thinking now might be the time!

I have one medium dog and hardwood and carpet flooring. Thanks!

I have 2 Dysons. When we had the big hairy German Shepherd I got the first one - the big purple one. Love it. Worked great and sucked up tons of hair. Fast forward to doggie went to heaven and I got the Digital Slim. Love it too. Cordless. Hardwood, carpet and furniture. I can do the entire house and it doesn't need to be recharged. I've never had a Shark so can't compare.

I have never had a Shark, but would not give up my Dyson for any other machine. It is one of the first ones that came out and is amazing how much dirt it gets out of everything. We have 2 mini schnauzers, carpet, ceramic tile and wood floors. Using the hose is a little problematic. It's hard for me to keep it straight so that it doesn't kink when I am trying to get something overhead.

Whichever you get, if you don't like it, you can always take it back.

I have both. The Dyson is the purple one and perfect. The shark is half as large, but perfect too. I use it for my sewing room and the Dyson the rest of the house. You won't do wrong either way, in my opinion

I have a Dyson - the red one from Costco. We have a dog that sheds a lot and I am always amazed at the amount of hair it picks up. The only thing I don't like about it is I find the hose too long and awkward to manage. But my friend has the same one and she likes the long hose.

Even though I do have a Dyson and like it, I think they are way overpriced.

My mother got the Dyson, she did not bother to lift it, and had trouble due to the weight. She lifted in a three story house and it could not do stairs. She bought another brand for the upstairs and the stairs. So just try them both out before you buy. I do believe they have one that is lighter.
