Default Wanted advice on Air Purifier

I sew a lot and use lots of batting as well as fabrics. Lately I am finding a lot of dust--more than a lot, more like a herd of dust bunnies. Was wondering if one purifier is better than any other. Would like to hear from everyone, thanks

I just purchased an air purifier for our bedroom, but it hasn't arrived yet so I can't give firsthand comments. After doing quite a bit of research online, I concluded that Rabbit Air is probably the best right now. They have two different models, each of which comes in two different strengths. The one I finally decided on is this one:

I purchased directly from the RabbitAir website, as I could see no advantage to purchasing this particular item through Amazon. The RabbitAir website has a comparison chart of their different models that I found helpful:

One thing I like is their 5-year warranty which covers shipping both ways if a unit needs repair.

Several years ago we bought a larger, circular Hepa air purifier from the local big box home store. It worked too, but was too noisy for my husband at night. This time I wanted something that was smaller and more quiet.

Just wanted to mention that we have had the Rabbit Air for a couple of weeks now and I ***LOVE, LOVE, LOVE*** it! Ran it on high for a few hours after it came, then put it on Auto. It is very quiet, especially since it is usually on its lowest setting during the night. I no longer wake up with the thick congestion and cough that has been getting gradually worse over the years. It did not solve all of my dh's problems (he has a lot of sinus-related issues), but it did seem to greatly reduce the headaches he was waking up with every morning (and my headaches are gone).

My daughter is using the large, round Honeywell brand Hepa air purifier we bought years ago. It really helps with her apartment. However, it is large compared to our Rabbit Air, and definitely more noisy. She will keep it because it doesn't require regular maintenance on her part (occasional removal and washing of the charcoal filter, and perhaps annual replacement of the Hepa filter in the machine). The recommendation for our Rabbit is to wash the pre-filter once a month and the Hepa filter every 3 months. This is not a problem for dh and me, but my twenty-something prefers not having to do that.

I have one for my bedroom and want to order a large one for living room due to allergies. I can't recommend a certain brand but I'll tell you this. I paid a little more for the one that I have so that I could get the washable filters. The non washable filters are expensive. I'd rather pay a little more in the beginning than to get nickled and dimed to death.
