Well, since I cook dinner, I just tell my family if they don't stay away, they don't eat. It works really well on my little brother! :D

That really solves the problem, doesn't it?

If you must - - - using a floor steamer helps speed up the drying process. It does not prevent the dirt from reappearing though.

My last house had a white kitchen floor... forever looking dirty, even though I mopped it every day. (I ran a daycare and I had to!). When I was looking for a house here, that was one of my considerations, even though I swore I would NEVER do another daycare. My house now has linoleum that looks like brownish/tan tile. It is VERY forgiving of dirt. I love it.... gives me more quilt time in between cleaning. (Although it does need to be mopped right now! )

I wait until late at night after my kids are in bed. My dh stays far away because a couple of years ago he slid into the cupboards on his behind after I just got done warning him the floor was wet. I laughed so hard he wouldn't speak to me for days!

my kitchen floor - not mopped for at least a week!

I finally got a Shark floor steam cleaner. I tell you its absolutely dry in minutes. Love it, love it, love it. The dog isn't a problem, but the cat and boy were. Now the cat doesn't like the steam so off he goes until its put away and its dry before son can do anything.

Its a GOOD THING!!!! :-D

Please tell me how you got your DH to clean the floors. Mine has tried and it was worse then when he started.
