So sorry to hear about your water problem. If this is your prime sewing area, I have a suggestion.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES DO YOU USE ELECTRICITY AROUND WATER.
That's perfect way for YOU to become a conductor for a lot of power. Unplug everything and take it out of the water zone. And this sounds to me like you're going to have to do some expensive work around there. Like grading the yard away from the house, and putting in DEEP holes in the basement with slotted metal covers over them, under a dry rug, just in case. And perhaps some high shelves built over cement blocks. They can be covered with cement and look not too bad.

This is only the second time it has happened in 14 years. We just had so much snow and a sudden warm surge. I am knowingly going to have to invest $$$ and get this fixed. There is an internal drain system that goes around the walls inside rather than the trench system outside, my friend in Michigan has had one put in. I will get through it, I am just so thankful that it is only water that can be cleaned up....so many others have flooding that takes everything. Thanks for the hugs and prayers.....I appreciate them!!

Hugs & prayers. So sorry you are going through this. Yuck! My hubby worked
on back yard drainage this week as the last rain we nearly had water come into the utility room. It was just 3" from the doorway and then it began to recede. That was scary enough. Can't imagine what you are dealing with.
