I also had a delonghi covered pressure fryer like this one http://www.amazon.com/DeLonghi-D677U...131423&sr=1-24
and it worked really well and cleanup was a lot easier. Also, before fried food got eliminated from my diet. Made great hot wings among other things and a lot safer to use.

Here is the link to WearEver. I am sure you could find any info from them. They have a toll free number also.

A friend of mine has a chicken fryer pressure cooker and he does make the best fried chicken I have ever eaten. My husband wanted me to get whatever machine our friend has but I declined. I prefer to go out for fried food. (Besides the smell that hangs in the house - we just don't eat much fried food anymore.)

Has anyone used one of these? I found one at a thrift shop - looks great and has a good gasket. I'm anxious to try it but need a boost of confidence! Please share your experience. BTW, I've read some info online but would rather hear from fellow quilters 'cause I trust this awesome board. Thanks all!
They are discontinued for fear of product liability. The Sealing Gasket Ring is also discontinued.
I have found the Presto 09908 pressure cooker seal to be nearly identical to the discontinued Wear-Ever 990024-3-8-1 chicken bucket seal.
The only difference I have noticed is that the Presto is slightly thinner and more flexible.
I do not know about the heat rating.
Of course Presto states that their seals are designed Only for their pressure cookers.

I am not a quilter. I only signed on to say I paid $8.00 for my Wear-Ever Chicken Bucket used.

Must be that slight difference in thickness, or the extra flexibility. Though the diameter is the same, it does not stay put in the lid.
