Earlier this year I saw Geneen Roth on the Oprah's show. I loved what she had to say and ordered her book called "WOMEN, FOOD AND GOD". It has made a huge impact on me. It has helped me get a better mind set about food and my relationship too it. At the end of the book she gives 7 guidelines for eating. The guidelines hit very close to home for me.
1. Eat when you are hungry. (personal note from me, hungry--not angry, frustrated, annoyed or hurt)
2. Eat sitting down in a calm environment. This does not include the car.
3. Eat without distractions. Distractions include radio, television, newspaper, books, intense or anxiety-producing conversations or music. (my personal note would include using the computer)
4. Eat what your body wants.
5.Eat until you are satisfied. (personal note from me again-we do not have to wait until the plate is clean)
6. Eat (with the intention of being) in full view of others.
(personal note--- I was a closet eaters for years.
7. Eat with enjoyment, gusto and pleasure. (personal note--
sounds easy, but I have trouble with this. Too much guilt
(the personal notes are from me, not the author.
I go back and read and reread some of the parts. It has helped me maintain my mind set.

I'm a lifetime member of WW since 1979.
My goal is to get back down to my goal weight. Only 45 lbs to go :D

If I could handle the heat, I'd melt these last 45 off this past two weeks... 103-107 temps with higher heat indexes

I have had a good few days on WW. I got my walk in early this morning while it was cool, 63. Sure a change from last week.

I too am a Lifetimer who is losing it again. I have more than 45 to go though.

Had a butternut squash as part of our supper tonight it sure was good.
