Default Went in for a hair cut

and left with shorter hair and a bag of fabric!

My stylist does the hair of a 90 year old lady who
was a quilter and had to give it up. So she gave Tam
a big plastic of fabric.

Tam doesn't sew, so she gave it to me.

I can't wait to dig into this fabric I did spot some AWESOME
pieces but have not pulled anything out to really look at it.

I will post pictures when I get the bag brought up stairs
from the car (hand my hands full when I got home today).

Nothing like a bag of fabric you didn't expect to get the creative juices flowing.

hubs wouldn't let me bring the fabric in unless it went straight to
the washing machine, so ALL those small pieces of fabric are now
washing.

I just put them on a short wash cycle just to make sure that there
is not any allergens (smoke/pet hair) as I don't want his asthma to
get flaired up.

Had some material given to me twice this year and washed it right away, pre wash anyway. When I started sewing 50+ years ago (clothes) pre washed everything for shrinkage and color fastness. And as you never know where bolts of material have been stored and with what, if I wash I feel better.
Can't wait for pictures.

About half of this fabric I will be donating/getting rid of as it is just
not in my taste.

VERY few pieces (maybe 1/16th) is even FQ size for the most part
it is smaller than FQ scraps.

After washing it I have a large HEAPING full laundry basket of fabric
to sort.

Will post pictures later.

Just never know where you're going to get that fabric.
