I usually wear what I might wear to an appointment since I dress business casual. Nothing fancy. Knit top and pants but always ready to show property or go shopping or sewing. I have a lint roller nearby if needed. My furbaby sometimes collects remnants.

i usually quilt in what i get dressed in for the day a few years ago i had taken some pins out and put on my sweatshirt went to store like that and lady said why do you have those pins on you i looked down and said im a quilter.

I guess after years of having stains, etc on me from my kids and now going to threads, the threads don't bother me. So much easier to remove than those "unknown" stains that pop up from no where. It seams we are magnents to them when we have kids.

I'm also without bra unless I go out. I have far fewer headaches that way. Cotton shifts in summer & men's shirts in winter are my sewing & yard work attire.

I usually wear a t-shirt and jeans/shorts when I sew, unless I am going somewhere; then I wear a bib apron.
My dogs often lay on the floor beside my machine, so they can be colorful thread magnets too. The black dogs are especially colorful with threads a fabrics snippets on them.

I use to always have to keep the lint roller handy just from having my fur babies when I was still teaching, and even then I missed some. I had a big white kitty at the time too. Some started calling me the dog lady. Oh Well! I went down to my dad's one day, and I had just got up from my sewing machine without thinking, and as I started to sit down at my dad's I seen I was covered in threads.

I am the lint brush! I often change before running out or just figure people will have to put up with it. I am a quilter after all. I normally wear spandex pants or jeggins, comfy T-shirt material shirt and a very long sweater. The sweater especially attracts thread and lint.

I dress as I would dress for the day. Today it is 10 degrees, so it's jeans, a sweater and my slippers.
Cute story: I was busy working on a wedding dress (a lifetime ago, I designed wedding dresses) and I remembered I needed to run to the grocery store for lunch supplies. I ran out of the house to go to the small local meat market. I forgot and left my tape measure around my neck. I asked the butcher for a quarter yard of salami. He asked " how much is a quarter yard?" And without thinking, I grabbed my tape measure and said "four and one half inches". His response was " you having a big get-together, cuz that sure is a lot of salami? !"
Everyone got a good laugh. I was not the least embarrassed, and he and I would always laugh at how straight-faced he was when he asked me.
On several occasions I have been accused of sitting around eating Bon Bons instead of having a "real" job. I had one of those (actually several) and feel it is my business, BUT, I have found if I take a "business" attitude about my quilting/sewing/embroidery and dress in a more business-casual style, I get more done. No pj's, sweats, or stained clothes. I feel accomplished when I dress for (sewing/quilting embroidery) success.

Jeans, shirt... When it gets colder, I add a nice down vest or some days one of my college sweatshirts. I get dressed every day so that if I need to leave the house, it is not a production at that point. The one thing I don't wear are shoes since my foot pedal is one of the air bubble ones- an older Elna and I use my big toe to "drive" the machine.
