Default What I Did Over Christmas Break

We homeschool, so when the kids are on break, I get a mini-break. In the evenings while we were watching Christmas movies I brought some things out to the coffee table and kept myself busy. These are what came out of those evenings.

Those delicate "twisted bits" are so intriguing. Can you tell us what the process is to make those?
And, PS, you sure can make good use of time and material.
