You do more than make gingerbread houses - you make memories!

I did the same thing last sunday with my grand daughters and some friends grandchildren - 7 kiddies! I will post the pic of all seven houses! It is soooo fun to watch them decorate their houses and they are so proud to take them home!

Wanted to get each child's pic with their house, but they were too busy . . running around! Sugar high??!!

How fun. We open our Christmas presents on Christmas Eve, which is torturous for little kids. I always set mine up with candies and graham crackers to make graham cracker gingerbread houses and also with sugar cubes and icing for glue to make sugar cube castles. It helped pass the day. I put newspaper all around too, so that clean up was easy. I miss those days. They're all grown up now, and no grandchildren yet. I can't wait to have little ones around again, but I guess I'll have to. Hopefully within the next couple of years.

Isn't it fun? Did you make the houses first? They did a great job, much more organized than my gkids houses.

Sugar cubes - like that idea! Now to see if I can remember that by next year!

Yeah, that's the 16 1/2 year old, the other happy one is his older brother. The grumpy girl is the neighbor girl; she is miserable, won't leave her mother's side. And she knows all my gkids very well.
