Default Blake Shelton's Not So Family Christmas

I recorded the show and we had it on over the weekend. I wasn't paying close attention and my daughter and four year old grandson were watching it. All of a sudden my daughter told me to stop the recoding, that they had just shot Rudolph!! My grandson was standing there asking "Why did they shoot Rudolph?" Wow, did we have some explaining to do!

I think this one was the worst one I have ever seen in my life. I know I will never again trust one of his concerts again. When my oldest son was a little tike, we were listening to a very popular local country station, and they played a song during lunch hour about rudolph getting shot and I think ate.. my son was soooo upset (age 3) he started to cry so hard..I called the station and talked to the guy that played it... I will never forget what he told me... lady get over it...and tell the kid it is only a song and get over it... he said his kids loved the song and I said...and how old are they??? He said 9 and 12...I said... oh a huge difference in age... you think that might be the difference??? He hung up on me... maybe thats why he was booted from radio after a while... he has since been black balled from radio.

You know, I thought I was being a prude because I found it very distaste full and I'm 64 years old! I think they went way over the edge with that one. I hope you were able to convince the little guy that it was just make believe and Rudolph is alive and well.

I like Blake Shelton and was glad to see he had a Christmas show this year. I think I watched the first 5 to 10 minutes of it and turned it off. I thought it was the most stupid show I have seen in a long time. I think I lost a lot of respect for him that night.

I agree. I love his songs but was really turned off by the "comedy" on the special. I remember commenting to my DH that I thought the Santa cartoon was in poor taste and wondered how children were going to react.

It was labeled before the show as may not be suitable for all audiences. You have to pay attention to the warnings.
