Here is my hubby's "bike in a box" that took him two years to rebuild.
It started out as two bikes, one was really just a frame, so he kept one and the GOOD parts from the other one and set to work. He had to find manuals, spec sheets and parts from all over the world...he is NO mechanic generally but this was HIS therapy...he challenge as it were to cut Fuel costs and find a cheaper ride to work than his big truck! It had to be titled, and he took to a motorcycle specialty shop for a final inspection of the motor, electrical, etc and it is now ready to get on the road! His last challenge to himself was to build a Recumbent bicycle..he did that 5 years ago and is tired of the pedaling 7 miles to work each day..hehehe

I am proud of him...but now maybe some things can be done around here that he has put off..hehehe

This is the NEW 1975 Honda 360

Wonderful job! Hubby used to refer to bike-in-a-box as "basket cases".

I spent many childhood hours on the back of a bike just like that. My dad and I rode that thing all over creation. I hope your husband has just as much fun with his!

I have that very same bike! His looks awesome, he must be very proud!

My ex- used to build race bikes, Kawasaki's. Wow! Was that ever a money sucking proposition, lol! It's pretty amazing what it takes to do a quarter mile in under 6 seconds. The last one he built was so fast it scared the crap out of him and he never built another one. Sold it immediately and never looked back. We finally built that patio with pergola the next year, lol!
