I am really enjoying listening to Quiltfiction - Frendship Album 1933. Many, many thanks to the member who brought it to our attention!

This is the first time I’ve listened to a podcast story and can’t wait for the next episode.

Can anyone on this forum suggest other podcasts with a similar genre? I don’t want to listen to the classics, horror or sex-riddled romances - just easy listening stories that are good to sew along to.

Looking forward to your suggestions.

when I’m quilting I usually listen to one of those, or have my local public radio station playing in the background

I also like Fresh Air, as well as Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me

I like to watch video podcasts on youtube. There are a bunch of cross stitchers that post videos, there are a load of knitters/crocheters that post videos. There are a few quilters, but not many. The cross stitchers and knitters talk about projects they finished and the materials they used, what they are currently working on and then they will talk about other items of interest or their etsy shop. When I'm sewing, knitting, and crocheting I like to listen to these, if they say something interesting about something they are showing I will stop to watch.

The Trail went cold is a good one to listen to, as well as Someone Knows Something.
I'm surely going to try and listen to an episode from the craftyplanner, sound interesting. All the recommendations I've seen so far have been great feedback.. lots of variety!
I also listened to Someone knows something. I was totally binge listening...I couldn’t stop! Very good.

i listen to a lot of true crime stories.

Up and vanished
Serial
Dirty John
Atlanta monster
Finding Cleo
In the dark

I also listened to “S-Town” that one was so interesting I binged listened. The first episode I thought...why am I listening to this guy? Because the language is bad. (I tend to not listen to a bunch of cussing ect) but I was interested. Honestly, this story just stuck with me...I really got hooked on the story. It’s probably my favorite.

S-Town was good!!! Finding Cleo too! Have you tried Minds of Mandness or Once Upon A Crime? Congrats on your article too by the way! I've always admired your work!!!

I love Levar Burton reads, great story telling. Also:
Rabbits,
Steal the Stars,
Tanis,
The Big Loop,
The New Yorker:Fiction,
The Writer's Voice, (also from The New Yorker),
Night Vale,
Within the Wires,
The Allusionist,
Selected Shorts,
Limetown,
Fortunately with Jane Garvey and Fi Glover,
Adventures in New America.
Backlisted podcast

These are all bedtime listening; some I have to wait for 2 weeks for the next episode, some are into S3, and some are on a break. All of them are excellent; if I want to listen to relaxing music to aid sleep, I listen to Deep Energy.
