Our cat was sitting on a friends lap, she was drinking a cup of water, a tall plastic glass with a large opening. We didn't notice until after he fell asleep. Here he was going for a drink and couldn't get it, but fell asleep with his head in the glass. There was just enough room for air to get in there otherwise we would have pulled him out.

When Roxie was a puppy, she always liked to sleep under the bed. As she got bigger, she couldn't fit anymore, but she would still try to get under. One day I found her half way under the bed. She couldn't get all the way under, but she fell asleep anyway. It was so cute. I'll have to find the pic I took and post it.

My bedroom does not have heat, so my miniature poodle Molly sleeps under all of the quilts as close to me as she can possible get(If she gets too hot she moves up on the pillow as close to my head as she can get). If I sit at the computer too long, she wants me to hold her with my left arm with her chin on my shoulder. I think this is because right after she came to live with me I had surgery on my right wrist, so I had to hold her on the left.

Not my dog, but a friends. She was being shown heavily by professional handlers. She decided to crawl under the deck then had a nice deep sleep. So deep ... she didn't come when called. The professional handlers looked and looked and looked all around the neighborhood. Because this was a valuable show dog and they were professionals and responsible ... they hired a helicopter!! (the dog is white so should be easy to spot right?).

Cost was several thousand dollars and the dog was under the deck the whole time.

I have this big fat fluffy cat, small by no means, but he just HAS to sleep in tiny tight spots. His favorite are kids shoe boxes, He will cram in there till the sides break, then he leaves. His next best is the plastic craft tubs. Just any small tight spot, he will curl up into.

Years ago in my first apartment, my boyfriend (who is now my husband) had won a giant Purple stuffed Turtle. Like any wise young person I put it on top of my refrigerator. I had a cat who used to leap up to this perch and take a nap there. When you disturbed him by opening the refrigerator door, he would swat your head. It was fun to watch unsuspecting - new visitors to the house.

One of our dogs fell asleep wrapped around a plant in a rather small (for the dog) pot. It was the softest sunny spot that day. I didn't get a picture of that, but one time I found a couple of them sleeping with their tails curled together.
