I took my Mom to church, then my husband and I went to lunch with her. Later we will go to the granddaughter's piano concert with my Mom, and will meet my son, his family, my daughter and her family and all their in-laws. It is a beautiful day in South Dakota. Happy Mother's Day to all.

Yesterday, DH and I went out of state for DD#2's graduation from graduate school. She and her hubby sent me a gorgeous bouquet of flowers on Fri. Today after church, DH and I went out to dinner then came home and napped. Son, daughter in law and baby were at church with us. They are coming over later to visit for a bit. Both my and my husband's mothers are deceased. Youngest DD phoned this afternoon.

I went to church with my husband then to Sonic for lunch. Home to quilt and do some laundry. Got a phone call from our son, text from three daughters. Son-in-law is installing my new dishwasher as I type.

Went to Belle River, Louisiana for a fish fry on the boat dock. It was fun to bpoat ride and visit with children and grandchildren. We were about 30 people there. Gifts were a GC to eat out, a rose, chocolate candy, another eat out card and lots of hugs and kisses.....Even the dog gave me a kiss....Happy Mothers Day PS If you are alone go quilt and say thank God for the quiet to do so. Hugs

Went to Fort Snelling National Cemetary to see Mom, and to check out some of the names of men who were decorated during previous wars. Very interesting! Then to Zantigo for dinner with my daughter's family. Lovely day!

Donuts Thursday, GC to Red Lobster, a dozen chocolate covered strawberries. Husband made me breakfast, pancakes and sausage W/eggs. I made myself chocolate cake w/ walnut an coconut icing. From scratch. Made a nice dinner, just me and Husband. Granddaughter brought the strawberries and spent 4 or five hours with us.

I went to my older daughter's house. Her husband grilled. She and my older daughter bought me a gift card for a massage...yea!! There are four grandchildren between the ages of 18 months and 5 years. It makes me crazy going over there because SIL has about five very large piles of cut wood. The oldest is strong and could easily pull a log off and have the pile come tumbling down. He found two steel pokers stuck in the dirt in front of one pile and pulled it out and started running around with it! I just don't understand how they don't see these dangers! I was very happy to get home!

My son took me out for breakfast this morning, and then on the way home he gave me a shoebox size box that my daughter in law had fixed up. The box was covered in rose patterns, and inside were a matching rose patterned picture album, matching picture frame, candle, and special bath things. The best though was the time with my son. I thought about my mother and mother in law who are no longer here.
