I am reading...listening to it on CD actually..the Help by Kathryn Stockett . When my book club started this book I wasn't quite thrilled. There were so many others on the list that appealed better to me than this one. But I went to the library to see if they had it...darn it...only on audio. Well..let's get it over with..I said to myself...I was glued to the story before the first disk was over. =)

False Friend - a novel
and a Susan Hill mystery - new to me and very good.
I'm a big mystery reader and finding a new writer who's written alot is wonderful.
Thanks for the Against the Law suggestion

"Shadow Tag" by Louise Erdrich and listening to as I sew, "Divining Women" by Kay Gibbon. Both are good reads but Shadow Tag is painful as it it about the decline of a marriage. Erdrich is an excellent writer so will finish to the sad end.

Just finished "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks" (true story) about a woman whose cancer cells were removed and used for testing without her knowledge and has led to a multibillion dollar industry and questions the privacy laws for medical research.
Do I sound like the retired librarian I am (LOL).

I just started Book of Lies by Brad Meltzer. Got it for $1 at the dollar store. So far, so good.

I am also listening (on CD) to "The Help" by Stockett. The voices of the readers are wonderful, aren't they?

Great story! Historical fiction. I am loving it!
