Because of my husband's work schedule, in 12 years time we have been able to do something for New Years Eve maybe 2 or 3 times. Therefore, I gave up on New Years Eve and for the past 4 years I've hosted a New Years Day Open House at our home for family & friends. I tell my friends: Have fun the night before, but the next day come over for good food, good company, watch the football games on tv, and couch potatos welcome too.

I will be staying home! I don't like to "party" so being home with my hubby is what I will do. Probably have some kids popping in to say hi and that is ok too.

We are going to a "East Coast New Year's" party at local lodge- it's from 6-9pm!! We will celebrate New Years when the ball drops in Times Square- 9:00 our time! We will celebrate a little longer, I'm sure, but no pressure to stay up till the wee hours. We are bringing our camper over & sleeping there too. No worries about drinking & driving & the crazies out on the road! Happy New Year everyone!
