Love it here in Western New York. I've live in many places, including Florida, but like it here the best. There is always something to do -- the only reason to be bored here is because you want to be. World-class museums, entertainment, universities. Close to the Canadian border, hills for skiing, lakes for fishing. Delightful ethnic mix. Very affordable housing, reasonable living expenses, short commutes to work. The weather is really nice here despite what the national media leads people to believe. I could go on. And, no, I don't work for the Chamber of Commerce!!

Love where I live, family nearby, I can smell the salty air of the ocean, mu church is near. I can do all my shopping and be back home and have driven less than 5 miles. Children and g-children love the fact that we live on old family land right in the city.

We live in a small city. We are happy here. We love the house we moved into last summer. We have a great yard with good neighbors. There are places to shop. Walmart, Kmart, kohls, Penney's and grocery stores less the 10 minutes from our house. My grandgirls are 7 blocks away. I love how we have all 4 seasons.

I love where we live. It is a small town but has all the necessities. Not far to drive to the rest of the stores I need. We built our house about 12 years ago on 6 acres on a small lake. My only regret is that I have to go to work every day and can't stay home and enjoy it!!

We are in Rhode Island - 5 minutes from the ocean. I don't think I could live somewhere and be landlocked. Have lived in Washington, D.C. and in Connecticut. Spent time in San Diego, Florida and Texas. Have never found anyplace that I would pick up and move to but want to check out the Carolinas for retirement. Came here for work purposes and overall like the area. There is always something to do - or nothing to do if that's what you prefer!

Do you live in Norfolk or Va Beach?

We moved from FL to VA for the Navy. Hubby decided to go civilian and we ended up in IN. I dislike the weather and the people, but we recently purchased a house in a small town and we do love that we are able to do that for our boys.

Ideally, we want to end up on the barrier islands of SC, but we have a few years before we can get there. :)

Not really. It's a nice neighborhood and all. Quiet, located on the backside of a small mountain in the western piedmont of NC, just outside of a small town, 30 miles from Charlotte.

Dream is a house in the middle of 100 plus acres either in the foothills of NC along the Broad or French Broad River or in the middle of nowhere AZ. Some place like Crown King or Bumble Bee. I don't know what they are like now, but 30 years ago there was a General Store and Saloon. That's it, lol.

Having been a military wife we have lived all over the US. Everywhere we lived had something special that I liked about it. Now we live in New Hampshire and wouldn't trade it for anything. The leaves are changing and we are getting ready to settle in for the winter. I love this time of year.

I hate where I live, Sacramento, Ca.. Before here I lived in the south part of Portland, Or. I would give my eye teeth to be back there. My first husband didn't work for 4 years and we lost the house. We ended up in Sacramento and was homeless for a couple of months. Now with #2 husband we have paid off this house and will probably live here forever. But my heart is in the Northwest because it is so green. Here it is brown, hot and dry.
