I'm thinking of getting one in the second bathroom. Long and deep bath with jets to help with my various arthritises. Time and money pending,

If it were me, I would rather have a hot tub than a whirlpool tub. A bathroom whirlpool, or jetted tub, is not the same as a hot tub. Go for a hot tub.

You need a large hot water heater, and crank the temperature up on them. They are not easy to keep clean and cleaned out/maintenance.
Other than that? they are a God send :D:D:D

With the size of ours - length of regular tub - we did not change our hot water heater. This tub is deeper than the standard one it replaced, but because of its shape - I think they called it a bow tie - it does not take as much water as if it were straight sided.

Good luck with whatever you decide!

Hoping for one some day, just soaking in a tub for me when I'm having bad back days really helps and I think a hot tub will work for me to help with the pain, sure wish insurance companys would help with the cost.

mine is really to long. its not comfortable unless two people are in it. I got a thick mat and pillow which helps a lot. I love them but mine is just to big. I start running out of hot water by the time it gets to where it has to be. also if you don't use it much I have to fill the thing up and run it to get all the gunk out that has settled in the pipes and maybe plan on using it the next day because im out of hot water. Cleaning is not bad. I just wipe it down as its draining and while im in it
