Dh and I went to see "Footloose" this afternoon. We really liked it! I knew that he would because Julianne Huff is a favorite of his from her DWTS days. Neither of us remembered the original film, but this one was most enjoyable. We give it

Oh, that is good to know. I can't wait to see it. I LOVED the original version with Kevin Bacon. I know I will love this one too!!!

This is the one remake I would like to see. I don't much care for remakes because I usually remember the original, but from the trailers it looks as if they stuck close to the original. The buzz is they stuck close to the original, so I would like to see if they did the original justice.

I remember the first and sometimes the remake is not as good. Going to have to see it.

I have a question: Why is it the keep doing remakes? Can't they think of something new?

My personal thought on that is, all the original screen writers in Hollywood are dead.

No.

And coming soon to a theater near you - a remake of "Dirty Dancing." (with a possibility of Derek Hough in the lead role).

Every once in awhile I'll see a good movie and wonder why they are so few and far between.
I really love movies but not what they make now :(
I can't even remember the last good one I saw at the theater.
