We southerners are used to snow, contrary to what you may have heard! We have salt, snow plows, just like everyone else. I spent 30 years in middle Tennessee and my DH is native of there. I promise you we have seen our fair share of snow and ice. Some people think just because it snows they are going to be snowed in for a long time. I choose not to get out in it anymore, because so many people seem like they don't know how to drive in it and will NOT slow down. I don't want those fools to run into my truck! I have never been snowed in so bad I couldn't go anywhere if I chose to.

I have my winter tires on my hot rod so I am good!! I run my Wide White Walls all year long until December then I put the radial tires on it until the chances of snow are gone, then the WWW's go back on.

But I will say it is interesting to drive it on the snow and ice when I have over 400hp and a 4:11 gear I tend to slide around a lot! But I have driven hot rods all of my life so I am used to it.

we got about 4 inches at Christmas but it melted quickly. we had a few flurries today that weren't called for. We know that if its coming thru Atlanta we are going to get it! If it comes from the west the mountains stop it and it never comes from the north it seems. Lets see I have the makings for a big pot of veggie soup, plenty of other groceries, toilet paper, wood on the porch, fabric and a treadle..........bring it on! Dh has 4wd and can get to work and the kids are homeschooled so we are good.

Basicly we feel that God brought it & He will get rid of it when He's ready! Seriously, I grew up in Ohio~ I KNOW what real snow is; now I live in the Atlanta area & any snow/threat of snow closes all schools, churches, etc. Life comes to a standstill...for about 3 hours until the snow is gone. 17 years ago we had 8" of snow & they still talk about it.That being said, we did have a lovely white Christmas this year & some of the snow even lasted for a few days and now we are suppose to get 3-5 inches on Monday. This has been a crazy weather year.

I live in Maine and we want snow. It really helps the economy. Lodging, snowmobiling, plowing ect. The storms keep going out to sea.

I'm ready here in Mississippi! Got dog food and people food and lots of sewing to do. I just hope we don't get ice because with all the trees we lose power fast with ice and I don't have a machine that sews without power.

I'm ready for snow. It will be raining here in the morning. I will dart out for a bit of groceries then stay at home for soup & Warcraft.
