I just got this in the mail...
The thing is I am waiting on a package that according to delivery confirmation says it was delivered. I have contacted the PO to find out where it is, but that was days ago, plus the Oct 12 is not the correct date this package was said to have arrived. (strange timing but... a scam none the less, I did a search on google first, will be contacting the PO later, but just wanted to warn folks first)
I did not open the attachment.

Hello,

Your parcel has arrived at the post office on October 12.
Our Driver was unable to deliver the parcel to your address.
To receive a parcel you should go to the nearest USPS office and show your post label.
Label is attached to this letter.

Thank you for your attention.
USPS Logistics Services.

I've gotten those before too. I wasn't expecting a package , so didn't open the attachment. Talked to the post office about it , and they said it is a hoax.

Hello,

It is a good thing you didn't. That is the one that ruined my hard drive. The timing of their message to just happened to be right on for timing for me.

Post office does not send emails. Usually they leave a printed card stating when it will try to deliver again or you contact them for pick up.

I have been getting emails from the state police of New York saying I have a traffic ticket. I haven't been too New York in 18 years. I didn't open the email up either.
No one drives our vehicles either so I no the cars haven't been there.

Some people might get tired of hearing about scams but I'm thankful for those who do post them. Kind of an on line neighborhood watch. I feel if posting about these scams helps even one person from getting taken then they're worth it. Thanks for bringing it to our attention and I hope everyone does the same.
