You will love QM11. Have been on all three of Cunards Queens. Love them all.

We cruised many years ago on Princess. Really poor cruise. Ruined us on cruising and we've never been since.

We have 3 kids and we have been on 6 carnival cruses, very much a kid friendly cruise line. We have never had a problem with staff being rude to us. We have never been on the same cruise twice. So if you don't want to see kids then go on another cruise line but that does not mean carnival is a bad cruise line, we love them and will be going on more with them in the future. Just giving my 2 cents worth.

My favorite is Royal Caribbean and love love the eastern caribbean and south. Do not like western caribbean at all as it is always windy and some days they actually bar anyone from going out on deck. Armed guards on rooftops and the islands are just not so fun. IMHO I did not care for the small ship or the cruise to Alaska. That was a shock as that was on my bucket list. Did enjoy the whale watching excursion. Glad I went, but didn't care for it. My very favorite was the Greek Isle cruise - awesome!! Did a tour to Delos Island in the middle of the Agean Sea and my mind goes there often! Enjoy whatever you choose.

We have cruised several times on Carnavel NO regrets, we also have been on NCL NO regrets either, both were great !! I think it depends on the itinerary , length and time of year. We always go in Feb 7-12 days.....
Princess is noted for the older crowds (seniors) so we stay away from that line. Alaska isnt one I feel that the younger set goes on so I would say you would be safe on any line to stay away from the kids and younger 20's group....We sailed NCL in Hawaii and there wasnt any kids that I remember on that trip. We never go when there is any chance of schools breaks thats makes a huge difference on how may kids are sailing

We did an interesting back to back cruise. One week on Celebrity and one week on Holland American. Very different and enjoyable for different reasons. Just had to walk across the dock from one boat to the other in Ft. Lauderdale.

HAL -older cruisers and families but with great friendly Indonesian crews. Good food and the best ever beds. Laid back. For example, the coffee shop was more like a Starbucks with paper cups and great coffee.

Celebrity - The NY Supper Club cruise. Great music, bars, coffee in fine china, portholes in the floor of the Lido cafe to watch the water from 9 stories up. Fine food and lots of dressing up. Not as laid back and crew was Italian (and gorgeous.) Beds good but not as excellent as HAL.

Then we went on a Princess Cruise and it was kind of middle of the road and underwhelming. But the ports were exciting (Canada) so it did not matter. I was not impressed with the food or the service.

We have also been on RCL but it was awhile ago.

I go to www.vacationstogo.com because they have the best website for searching for discounts and available cruises. I also use www.cruisecritic.com for questions and reviews. Huge amount of information.

I have no desire to go to Alaska, I am a beach, sand, and sun girl !!!! I think we have been to almost every island in the Carribean doing cruises, favorites are Antiqua and Aruba....

Reading this - makes we wonder if we should take a cruise. My dh would go in a heartbeat if I would. Just don't think I would enjoy it. Too many people and I don't want to have to visit with people I don't know or eat with them. I'm really a nice person just not good with crowds.
