Default Wire hangers?

Does anyone know if they even make wire dress hangers anymore.........and if so, where can one purchase them?

Have a crafty project to do for Christmas and it uses the old wire hangers. I asked at Joann's and they looked at me as though I was from another planet!!!

Thanks for any info, MaryJane

How about asking at the dry cleaners?

See if there are any listed on your local Craigslist, or put a "wanted" ad up asking for some. Lots of companies, including the one DH works for, has a uniform service, and his freshly-cleaned clothes are returned to him on wire hangers. They tend to accumulate really fast! I see ads occasionally giving the hangers away.

Ditto what Misty's Mom said. If you know anyone who sends a lot of garments to the dry cleaners ask them for the hangers. Curious as to what project. Maybe holiday wreaths?

I never see them in stores, but still get them at the dry cleaners.

Check thrift stores. I sent a big bunch of them to Goodwill. I'm sure if you asked around you will get more than you could possibly use.

I agree, buy them at Walmart. I have saved some old ones for when we need heavy wire. I had some really old ones that are real heavy, thick wire. We only use the plastic tube ones for clothes.
