Karen, I think you "win!" I don't remember Clorox in brown glass.
My mom sprinkled the ironing and put it in the freezer. She really hated ironing! :D
They make a plastic version of these things, now - I use them for watering seedlings, because they don't flood out the tiny plants. The new sprinkler tops screw onto any plastic soda bottle.

Brings back memories. It was my job to iron and I had to iron Dad's shirts all linens hankerchiefs dresses everything got ironed and I hated doing it! But I so remember using these sprinklers on a pop bottle! Hadn't thought of them in a very long time!!

I remember personally using them.
The dried clothes got sprinkled, rolled up, and allowed to get evenly damp, and then ironed.
I remember being so excited when I first got to iron handkerchiefs.
I remember being not so excited when I had to iron my little sister's starched dress with the puffed sleeves.
