Are you older than dirt???

Yep...that's me. Older than dirt. I like the quiz. It does bring back memories. Your sprinkler bottle made me think of the metal stretcher frames my mother used to use on my father's khaki work pants!

Yes, older than dirt and greatful for it. Can't beat those memories! Didn't have running water (unless you ran after it) until I was in 3rd grade and then no indoor plumbing. One room school house (all grades in one room with one teacher) with teachers that had 6 month certificates and after teaching 6 months they went back to school and we got new ones. Some were so young that the 8th grade boys were older than the teacher. And getting to school in a horse drawn sled in winter. Listening to the Bell Telephone Hour with Gordon McRae and The Arthur Godfrey Show, etc. on the radio. Wouldn't want to go back but the memories are priceless.

How about felt circle poodle skirts?
Butch wax?
A colored screen (blue at the top, green at the bottom, clear in the middle) to put in front of the black and white tv screen?
Tooth powder?
Hard cake mascara that you needed to moisten and make a paste then rub a brush in it?

Yes, I am older than dirt, but I would not trade those memories for anything.
How about:
Packet of powder to color the margarine
The iceman delivering ice for the frig.
Grocery store using a longhanded pole with a hook on it to grab items off the top shelf. This was before self-service.

K just this morning realized that I will be married 39 years in December. I can remember a time when I thought I wouldn't live that long, let alone be married for that amount of time. Where has the time gone. and yes, I remembered all but 1. now I feel older than dirt!
