older than dirt-I also remember 'ice' boxes that had real ice delivered for them-hand pumps for water-'real food' not 'store bought'-heating the iron on the wood stove-heating with a wood stove-cooking on a wood stove-can you tell the wood stove was a high point??

Count me in as older than dirt too. Had a giggle about the sprinkler top on the RC bottle - when my daughters were little (prob. about 35 years ago) they found me sprinkling clothes before ironing them. They were sure I'd lost my mind!! Who remembers bluing for making your clothes look whiter.

Oh, talk about memory lane. Wouldn't mind having some of those things back but, on the other hand, wouldn't want all the hard work that went with some. Can you image what today's youngsters will have for memories of the "good old days"?

I am older than dirt and then some. I still remember the ice box and the ice man delivering blocks of ice to the house and we had to empty the drip pan every day into the garden to water the plants.
