If "we" didn't care these shows would lose ratings until they stopped talking about it. This is a nation that has adopted a woman named "Snooki" as a character of note. It can't be surprising that talking about someone with an actual career behind him is raking in the ratings - it isn't just the gossip-mongers, but it's also people who have respected his work in the past who are interested.

Hollywood is a money business - period. Charlie Sheen is more popular right now than he's ever been, for good or for ill. Popularity = Ratings = ad buys = $$$.

When they stop making money on it, they'll stop talking about it, whatever "it" happens to be. Just right now, it's Charlie Sheen.

I am really really tired of all the gossip mongers in the media of this country that make what the drugged out, alcohol swigging "celebrities" are doing more important than what the good people in this country do.

Why is it news? Why should we care? Why do they expect that I am waiting with bated breath to hear what their next outrageous stunt is? Why should I care who they are with or do with them?

I hate that our culture has become so "celebrity centered" for all the wrong reasons!!! These people are truly losers who are such bad bad influences on our youth. Yet look how the media idolizes and raises them up like they were gods!!!

MAKES ME SICK!!! (See, you had to get me going!!  )

He really is ill, but doesn't see it. I hope his family can get through to him. If not, I fear for him.

I have to agree with Faye. It is so sad what addiction does to the family involved. That part is too painful to be funny. And the news reporters should be ashamed of themselves for wasting our time with all that coverage. They are only encouraging him to keep going.
I think we will all hear some very sad news regarding him very soon.

Aside from the TV show being OVER DONE with the one liners (and does that make an actor?). I have caring feelings for the parents. As seen before his father has tried and tried even by calling the police on him etc. His mother's heart must be torn apart. This very very ill Charlie Sheen is on the road with two forks; Road 1 is a disaster to himself and Road 2 is a disaster to harm someone else. I almost feel he is out to distroy himself AND he needs to rid himself of his so to speak entourage and all the "YES" people around him $$$$$$$$. I will send a prayer for his family and for him. Nope I am not a perfect person, made many mistakes and stub my toes LOTS, there is simply more people who are hurt by his fiascos and they need caring also. Thanks for reading my thoughts they are not meant to say anything more than my thoughts.
God Bless each of you.

Yes, I agree! It may be a hit show, but all his fans need to find someone else to idolize! What a jerk, what an idiot! Got tired of hearing about Tiger, now it's Charlie! Enough! I do feel sorry for the rest of the cast, they deserve better than this!...
