I'm over 80 and in the middle of moving but want to learn quilting. Is it too late for me? I just found this place and since it is FREE it seems like just the right place for me. Looking forward to learning something new.

I don't guess it's ever too late if you can sew a straight line and see :D :D . Welcome from Texas!

Never too late. A while ago, I saw a 94 YO person getting a college degree. No reason you can't learn to quilt! I think it's great! ;)

" WOW " I didn't expect so many warm greeting's this quickly. It will take me a while to learn how to get around this but I will give it my best. I have been teaching myself computer so that is another part of my life that I find fun and life fulfilling. One thing I have found is that at this age you have to at least keep your mind busy. So many friends have passed and at this age I don't go out and about that much so home is not only as safe place to be but it keeps me out of trouble.

Thanks for the warm "welcomes"

Welcome to the board site!

You might stay safe at home....but on this site there can be multiple ways to get in trouble! :) Why just the other day, I spent so much time on this site, looking at pictures and getting to know people that I forgot a doctor's appointmetn!..Opps have never done that before....

but wanted you to know that my Grandmother took up golf at 82 years of age...

She was always encouraging all of us to continue to learn, grow and love more!

Hope to see you on this site more as you get settled in.
