Bamboo is GREAT! I love the softness and how quilts with bamboo drape. Absolutely, use it in a baby quilt. I have made a few with bamboo and by far prefer using bamboo to cotton. (I buy the 100% bamboo).

Hello and welcome from Germany! I would use a bamboo/cotton batting for a baby quilt - it is very cuddly!
