Default "How do you do?" from the UK :)

Hello lovely people,

I have just this minute joined this forum and wanted to say hi. I'm a jewellery maker really but became a fabric enthusiast not too long ago, for my birthday on the 25th August (I know not even yet but hey, I couldn't wait) I have been treated to a stack of fat quarters from a beautiful shop in Wales.

I went on holiday recently and saw a great quilt exhibition/competition hung up around the gardens of Cae Hir (k-a-i h-e-e-r) in West Wales which gave me the boost to get out there and get some quilting done.

Which brings me to now..... I have only ever made two pieces of patchwork, one is in the profile photo, it's a sewing machine cover and it was pretty easy to make. I'll be asking lots of questions no doubt on my time here, I have no idea really what I am doing

Bye for now!

I voted for this one and it came third. The competition was based on all things from Holland as the owners of Cae Hir are from there originally. It's their anniversary since opening the gardens to the public and wanted something to celebrate. Great idea and the weather was amazing!
