Welcome! Enjoy the adventure! I'd suggest you take a beginner's class either in person locally, or online from somewhere like Craftsy.com. You may want to take a beginner sewing machine class, just to get familiar with how a sewing machine works.

All that being said... I was self taught! If you want to learn, you will.
